I have at least 16 novels I could edit, ranging between 1st draft and 7th draft (side-eyes Laero) but *adopts annoying whine* I DON’T WANNA

I like doing 1st drafts for NaNo so I’m really just making it more difficult for myself for no reason except personal preference.

If I don’t come up with anything I’ll work on the 5th draft of Dragon’s Daughter though, since I’m only one chapter in

writing advice: never italicize words to show emphasis! if you’re writing well then the reader will know and you don’t need them!

me: oh really??? listen up, pal, you can just try an pull italics from my cold, dead fingers

ME!!!!!!!!

My editor told me to take it out like I was talking down to my readers but I like having emphasis in the right places

In all honesty, lack of planning aside, I do love this series not only because it’s entertaining, but because I love books where the good guys don’t always win.

Yeah, maybe Nives managed to fend of Herbert, but Kalea and Samah did not. He’s getting cleverer in dealing with them and, as of right now, they aren’t able to keep up. I love that.

I’m sure that there will be a happy ending at the close of the series, and that’s just fine. A happy ending will mean more if they actually have to work for it.

(it’s also why I love the Tapestry series by Henry Neff…and in that one, you have to ask if the ending they got is even a happy ending at all. It’s a very nice change from other books and even, I’ll admit, the kind of stuff that I, myself, write.)

So I’m oblivious and didn’t even realize at first but someone bought my book which means this is the first sale I’ve made that wasn’t to friends or family. What a milestone!

And I almost missed it hahahaha wow….Echoes distracted me so much I didn’t even notice a book sale.

Mannnn I really do like Principesse del Regno della Fantasia, like, a lot. Enough to buy all 13 books hard cover only with the attached international shipping price (not cheap) but GOD

If they were in English the inconsistencies and mysteries about world building would drive me crazy. The timeline makes no sense, the family tree makes no sense, I’m just trying not to think about it really.

And it’s definitely the sort of stuff that I would hate to have in my books, which is why I’m so obsessive about my world-building. Early drafts might be better or worse but by the final draft I try not to have any plot holes big enough for a mouse. Not sure if I always succeed, but I definitely try.

Now Available!

Seneria was born to be the next Solaris, one of the two most powerful mages in the Seven Kingdoms. However, she never gets the respect she thinks she deserves. When she receives a threatening letter from the Ghost, the realm’s number one mage enemy, she sees a perfect chance to prove herself. Seneria learns two things very quickly. One, being Solaris isn’t as easy as she thought it would be; and two, the Ghost is nothing as simple as the rogue mage everyone assumed he was.
