the signs as actual things michiru kaioh has done

aries: made usagi give over her rightful turn in a game by sparkling really, REALLY hard
aquarius: straight up stole a baby
cancer: called her gf at 2am because she wants to go see the ocean, and no, it cannot stand to wait until morning
capricorn: wistfully sighed ‘it must be nice to be young’ at a group of girls one year younger than her
leo: has presumably made a regular habit of juggling a lemon while playing violin
pisces: challenged a goldfish for her girlfriend’s affections
libra: repeatedly used life-or-death situations as a platform for inappropriate sexual innuendo
virgo: bullied a girl to the brink of tears because she let her win at swimming
taurus: taunted her girlfriend with flowers she’d received from a male admirer, who was in fact ten years old
gemini: made a dramatic entrance to stop a villain indoors, got flustered and sincerely apologetic when villain pointed out she’d landed with her shoes on the table
scorpio: flat-out chose to bring about the apocalypse over letting her girlfriend get hurt and was not remotely sorry
sagittarius: turned to her gf with a look of genuine bafflement on her face and asked, ‘what is a fart’

Ok so we know that the outers weren’t in R (aside from Pluto) because they hadn’t been made up yet BUT it does lead to some distressing questions about where they are

(basically, either back in exile or dead)

which upsets me

but it does play into another headcanon I have that the Soldiers actually have different personalities than their reincarnated personas, and over time the old personalities start to overtake the new ones

Which also explains why everyone takes their old names in Crystal Tokyo instead of keeping their human names

We all know, though, that Usagi would never send the outers back out, alone. Being alone is her greatest fear, and she talks about that with them. I refuse to believe she would ever do that

But Serenity? We don’t know about her. If she grows up to be more like her mom then she might actually be the sort of person who would do that. And the outers would leave, of course. They’re too loyal not to.

Maybe they even suggested it on their own, in the end, but I don’t think it’s something the human versions of them would want – any of them

it makes me sad…

sailormoonparallels:

Hotaru Saves Chibiusa

i love how the 90s anime had hotaru return her heart as saturn, instead of making a distinction between the two of them with saturn being Yet Another exclusively destructive being that’s taken over hotaru’s body, while the true hotaru’s soul is inexplicably trapped within. HOTARU IS SATURN AND HOTARU IS GOOD THEREFORE SATURN IS GOOD, thank you 90s anime

fairymascot:

say what you will about sailor moon, its 90s cheese, its horse romance and 701 episodes of filler, but honestly can you give me one other show where there is a canon lesbian couple and

they are in a textual, mutual, committed relationship, acknowledged by all those around them; it is strongly emotional, romantic and tender, while also maintaining a sexual element that is plainly addressed and not painted as dirty or designated for male titillation; they are positive role models to the rest of the cast, and adored by all who meet them, while still having flaws that make them human; they both get ample screentime, during which we see their relationship deepen and them grow as characters; there is no questioning their devotion to each other; there is no possibility of any potential attraction to men on either of their sides, nor is there any in their past; neither one’s arc revolves around coming to terms with her identity or fearing acceptance from her surroundings, their issues have nothing to do with their sexuality; neither one dies (for more than three minutes); they start a family and have a child; they are given a happy ending.

can you

Most of my work for cross-stitch patterns I do on the computer, but I can’t actually draw digitally so we start with a traditional sketch

I’ll smooth it out later but…it starts! And these two get to stand together because OF COURSE THEY DO

I’ve never done a cross stitch with a lot of characters, so I’m a bit worried about proportions but I guess there’s no choice but go for it, right?
