I don’t care if Tiria is a river otter and Leatho is a sea otter. They’re adorable and I will never not ship them.

The day has arrived! I finally, finally finished this beast of a cross stitch!
Obviously my take on the tapestry of Martin the Warrior from the much beloved Redwall series!
It’s 13 inches long and 11.5 inches tall and has over 50,000 stitches (on 18 count Aida). It has somewhere around 52 colors in it and took me almost two years to finish because I’m terrible.
Anyway, I hope you guys like it! (and sorry about the bad picture quality we don’t have good light today)
Also since I’m already on the camera have some pictures of my mouse!
I went with Cornflower by the way.
She’s still very shy. Also she’s quite the bad ass. If she ever gets out I have ten bucks on her over the cat or dog.
Martin and His Warriors
Okay, so, sometimes I do meta. Or TRY to do meta. Let’s see how this goes.
I made a list of the warriors (and Mariel because who could ever leave her out) and the bit of Martin I see in them. The list is from the wiki, so some of them aren’t quite “official” but they were…
Again I know a lot of you only watch me for cross-stitch so sorry!
Current work on Martin – in all honesty I haven’t been working on him all that much…
Current work on Grima – Getting there, I guess! I’ve been trying to work on his wings a lot since that’s the frame for the whole thing but I also get distracted easily so…
I’m still just trucking along.

It’s not a Thursday but it IS my birthday so I thought I’d share my progress with everyone.
Man I’m getting so close to finishing it, I’m excited. The border on the left is only about six stitches from being all the way down (what a time to run out of thread!) so that gives you an idea of how close to the bottom I’m getting.
Also I started stitching Martin himself, finally! Still a lot of work to go with him but at least he’s in there now.
And I started stitching the last vermin. I’ve three left to finish and two of them are SO CLOSE so it’s really just the one left.
Wait, wait, hold up, what? Redwall cross stitch? O.O Is it a created pattern or a pattern that can be found somewhere?
I made the pattern myself! I may sell the pattern for a few bucks after I finish the piece, but I definitely want to finish it first and see for myself the things I ought to fix about it before I do!
Then major props to you! Now that I’ve seen your work in progress, it’s an outrage nothing like this existed until you began it! The world needs this!
Gosh, thank you! Seriously I’m blushing so much right now aaaa! Check back in at the end of March – I should be almost done by then!
Please tell me your Redwall OTP is Tiria and Leatho ;_; (but if it’s something else that’s cool too!)
It is, it is, it is! I ship it to the moon and back!
Actually I was considering drawing them for Valentine’s Day, if my fanart mood holds.
(I assume it’s your OTP too, which is great! Finally, someone who understands!)

Not sure what I was intending to draw when I picked up my sketchbook, but Tiria was what happened.
Not too surprising considering what a Redwall mood I have been in lately, and the fact that High Rhulain is one of my favorite Redwall books and Tiria is both one of my favorite characters AND one half of my Redwall OTP.
Maybe I’ll draw a less cutesy picture of her later, if I’m still in the mood.
So I finished the pattern! Here’s a picture (and again without the vermin because I spent so much time on the background only to have it be covered up, lol!)
It’s not the idea that I originally had for the vermin but I found them too distracting the other two ways. So they just became vague shadow creatures instead.
Now of course the fun parts really begin! I have to pick out all of the colors (cries) and actually stitch the thing. I know that I’m probably going to hate myself before I’ve stitched ten minutes, but that’s how it goes. That border is going to destroy me.
Still expect more pictures in a few days or weeks or whatever.

So one thing I really love to do is cross-stitch, and I like to design my own patterns. I was thinking I could do some fan-related projects and maybe sell them or something.
But anyway, while I was thinking of what to do, my first thought was to do something with Grima from Awakening. And then I realized I could make my own version of the Tapestry of Martin the Warrior from the Redwall books!
So this is Martin on his way to becoming a cross-stitch pattern! I’m not entirely happy with him yet, I want to mess with the colors a little more and the shading on his face in particular. But still I thought he was cute enough to share!
