Shitty Silverwood Character Breakdowns:

Ithea: Hates her dad 1000% and devotes her life to destroying him. Obsessed with Power and Glory. She’d try to kill her dad and become the new 1st Lord except for the fact that she’s dying a slow and agonizing death from a Drezhein-specific disease and never tells anyone. Very dramatic, always smiling, almost always lying through her teeth. Loves her kids A LOT. Committing crimes = aesthetic. Pretty much commits suicide rather than let anyone see her sick. Zodiac: Aries

Anthem: Wants to be chill but keeps getting dragged into Ithea’s political bullshit. Obsessed with Power and Knowledge. Seriously he just wants to do research and maybe seduce some ladies Ithea please. Begrudgingly loves (some of) his kids. Likes to pretend he’s a gentleman. Zodiac: Capricorn

Ithian: Hates Anthem 1000%. Kind of nuts. Marries a girl who looked like his sister. Obsessed with Power and Strength. Terrifying dictator 0/10 would not recommend. Doesn’t realized that Ithea let him kill her. Zodiac: Aries

Charlie: Ithea’s favorite son. Hates his dad. Emotional and disciplinary issues, petty vandalism and fist fights. FASHION. Can turn into a dragon and will destroy you. Surprise actually ends up being a useful member of society with a dorky husband and adorable children. Really good at teaching and talk therapy. Zodiac: Libra

Cyan: ithea’s favorite daughter. More glamorous than anyone else. Thrilling stage career, also bootlegging and the mafia. Dresses to impress. Aggressively bisexual. Blamed all her childhood exploits on Charlie and always got away with it – also accidentally outed Charlie before he was ready to come out. Cat person. Zodiac: Leo

Gavin: Anthem’s favorite son. Anthem 2.0. Business and the mafia. Thinks he’s classy but actually he dresses like an old person. Got the best grades as a kid. Terrible brat and bully,  used magic to make the babysitter let him ride his horse in the house. Likes secrets way more than necessary. Zodiac: Virgo

Keir: ADVENTURE AND SCIENCE. Loves exploring and making friends with new cultures. Open mouth, insert foot. MacGyver’s his way out of trouble all the time. Maps???  Zodiac: Aquarius

Dumas: Adventure, science, and book deals. Constantly cleaning up after his twin. KEIR NO!!! Likes maps and books. Gets into trouble a lot and has to be rescued by his brother. Can tell entertaining stories for a month on end without stopping. Zodiac: Aquarius

Kaite: Not really a ‘school’ person. Likes gardening. Wants to be a good person, but keeps getting involved in Cyan and Gavin’s shady business deals. Anthem’s favorite daughter. Cute girls A+. Marries a princess. Bakes lots of cookies. Zodiac: Cancer

Junior: A prince? Also an honorary general. Can turn into a tiger. Everyone’s favorite royal kid. Very chill, very bisexual. Will probably be Emperor one day, if Tris ever dies. Zodiac: Taurus

Ro: Cities? No thanks. Hippie-dippy weirdo. Got teen pregnant. Happily married with so many kids. Has lots of dogs. Magical healer witch doctor. Loves her siblings but doesn’t want to talk to them ever again. Zodiac: Pisces

Tris: Cursed child Empress. Will destroy you. Immortal maybe? No one is willing to test it. “I’ve held this throne through two civil wars I’m not giving it up now”. Terrifying dictator 10/10 would recommend. Functional Utopia Makes Everyone Mad. Has a soft spot for her half-brother Junior – made him her heir. (and a soft spot for Charlie too). Can turn into a snow leopard. Zodiac: Scorpio

Bird: ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Can alter the fabric of reality without knowing it. Works 40 hours a day. Has a slacker husband and loves him very much. Devoted to Tris. Zodiac: Virgo

IDK why I’m thinking about this but Modern!AU Laero:

Retta takes Nelli on a yachting trip which goes disastrously wrong and Nelli ends up stranded on the wrong side of the country with literally nothing but the clothes on her back.

Kradhi is a grumpy motorcycle chick who is having issues at home and decides to ignore them for a while by driving Nelli back home on her bike.

They get into lots of trouble together, obviously.

Have some nerds. I love, love, love costume design and the costume design for Laero in particular is super fun. These are more typical outfits and less what they actually wear in the book (except Retta) but hey.

Retta: The Marzjen adore bright colors for their fabrics which are usually covered with sea motifs. They wear tons of jewelry, too. Mostly coral in white, pink, or blue. There’s also lilac and yellow coral but it’s rare and if they’ve got that much money they usually jump to much flashier sunstone instead (what Retta has on her belt/earrings) because they love play-of-color and anything flashy. The color of the overtunic contrasts with the undertunic and breeches which are usually black and white.

Kradhi: This is a summer outfit for her, since I usually draw her in winter clothes. The Laero base their outfits to blend into the leaves of the Norforest which range from obnoxiously bright green to navy based on the season. They do a boatload of embroidery, usually geometric. While they mostly confine themselves to blue and green, they love red and yellow and use those colors as accents a lot. And of course Kradhi keeps her ceramic ‘bell’ on her sash at all times, like a good warrior.

Nelli: She usually wears her military uniform, so this is what she would have worn if she went into the free cities on leave. The only concession to her rank is the blue tattoos on her arms (temporary plant based dye, the patterns change but the color has to do with rank). They wear less clashing colors than the Marzjen or the Laero. Most of the accent design isn’t straight embroidery but bead-work instead. The head scarf is usually worn loose, held up with a headband but can easily be converted into a more concealing arrangement in case of sandstorms or just really bright sun.

Also Retta is excited, because she always is. And I hate using this color for Nelli’s skin because it isn’t dark enough but I’m still too lazy to go to the store and get another of the right color….

Ava is the one who takes care of Brynn’s tail cause Brynn has no patience for it, but she also doesn’t want to to cut it. I also decided that Ava’s hair should be blue. It looks cute!

Silverwood timeline, almost a hundred years of the Silverwood family fucking shit up.

I put in the birth dates for the kids, Ro’s children and Charlie’s children just to make sure it all works (?). I might throw in the birth dates/death dates for others later if I need to.

Lyris, Tarron, Ranel, Rylese, and Jenessa are the royal family. Everett is the main character. Other than that (and Ithea and Ithian) everyone on here is Silverwood.

I told @hakbot I was twitchy without a story to work on and he told me to go through Silverwood and pick everyone’s Fire Emblem classes so HERE YOU GO:

I used GBA classes because of course I did. But if I’d used Awakening classes, Anthem would be the Tactician and Cranberries would probably be a Taguel instead. Charlie can still be a Manakete though because OF COURSE. (Kaite would be a Trickster in this scenario)
