I did manage to come up with another Silverwood post (there’s always more, somehow) due to sword class yesterday so, here’s everyone’s weapons/stance on fighting:

Ithea: Uses polearms usually, or knives if she’s in a small space. Or her fists, sometimes. Don’t fight her though because she has no honor whatsoever and always fights to kill (unless it’s against Anthem in which case fighting til injury is good enough).

Anthem: Knives and swords, and canes. We joke about him having a sword cane but he definitely did. He knows how to fight like a gentleman but in dire straights (or against Ithea) he’ll revert back to street fighting.

Charlie: Swords and canes (also has a sword cane and pretends that he’s nothing like his dad). Fighting was taught in their fancy boarding school and Charlie was actually really good at it. The only good thing he’s ever done, according to Anthem.

Cyan: The second best at sword work, after Charlie. But Cyan takes after Ithea and she loves a good brawl. Probably don’t fight her either, honestly.

Gavin: Can fight, but it was a sport he didn’t take to as much as others so he hasn’t kept up on it. He prefers to use charm or magic and if that doesn’t work he has someone else do his dirty work.

Kaite: She doesn’t like fighting. She never took to in school and she doesn’t do it now. She’ll almost always chose to escape if she can (and her shapeshifted form is quite fast, so it’s rarely an issue). If she needs to fight though, she can punch pretty well and mostly relies on that + Drezhein healing abilities.

Keir: Jack of all trades, master of none. He can hold his own defensively for the most part but he probably won’t win if he tries to go on the offensive. He generally tries to seduce his way out of trouble which almost always makes it worse.

Dumas: Similar to Gavin – he knows how to fight well enough, if he has to, but he’d really rather not. He’s trained his dogs to be guard dogs, and he’ll generally rely on them.

Junior: Being a royal heir and also a general, it should be no surprise that Junior is actually extremely accomplished both with weapons and in his shapeshifted form. His strengths are archery and swordplay, followed by shapeshifted fighting and polearms. His lazy and hedonistic demeanor lead many to underestimate him (assuming that he got his position due to his bloodline) and that doesn’t hurt either.

Ro: She’s the best fighter out of her siblings, which surprises literally everyone. She trains all the time and can basically fight with anything, at any time, for any reason. She doesn’t like it, but she won’t shy away if she has to. Her best skill is archery, followed by quarterstaff. Her worst is shapeshifted fighting, because her other form is a little too small to do much damage. She also has a strong healing gift, which she won’t hesitate to use offensively if she must.

Lesser known Silverwood facts:

Ithea: can actually draw and paint beautifully and her diary is full of doodles of the kids

Anthem: he loves rabbits, okay? he just loves rabbits so much

Charlie: used to hang out with Aya all the time, randomly, so he gets along better with Cyan’s mother than Cyan does (she’s also the one who taught him to sew)

Cyan: she would literally never admit it but she’s always felt responsible for Anthem’s death and carries that guilt forever

Gavin: a lot of his bratty behavior was because Charlie and Cyan got so much more attention than he did

Kaite: has pretty severe dyslexia, but she’s working hard to research and write about her family’s history

Keir: can sing really, really well, but it’s the one thing he’s too embarrassed to do in public

Dumas: makes like, half of his money scamming less intelligent people at gambling games (he counts cards) and Cyan had to ban him from her bar permanently because of it

Ro: actually the single best fighter out of any of her siblings, even though she seems so mild-mannered and polite she will fuck shit up if she has to

*

Tris: despite living on an island, she’s afraid of water and doesn’t know how to swim (something that plagues almost all of the royal family except for Junior who loves water)

Bird: loves romantic ballads and epics, especially cheesy ones, she has more than a few of them memorized even though she absolutely cannot sing, play an instrument, or even hum in key

Dumas, the studious twin.

Has a lot of the same interests as his brother (though not as interested in animals or botany).

He’s the one who learns languages, who takes notes, who carries a map – and is usually the one who gets them out of trouble. But, it should be said, not always.

Much more of an observer, he tends to stay aloof from the people they meet, unlike his brother.

Men are hard. But whatever, I did the twins anyway.

Keir, the one who throws himself into everything wholeheartedly and, as a result, often gets into trouble.

He loves people and animals, and is so interested in other cultures he joins in everything he can. He also loves hardship and hard work, and is never overly concerned even when his life is in danger.

Kaite, the middle child. She’s so good, honestly.

Man, do you think this is lesbian enough? Well, I think if someone elopes with a princess to live in a flower-covered cottage in the woods it’s okay to focus on that haha (as opposed to focusing on crime which, to be honest, we get enough of with all the other Silverwoods).

This one was harder than the others. Then again, Cyan always has to be difficult.

The main issue was not making hers too similar to Ithea’s because they do have a similar “look” (Cyan takes after her mom a lot) but have completely different goals.

Hey I did that thing that people do and made an aesthetic post for Ithea because why not?

Pinterest is useful! Sort of hard to find stuff with the right skin tone but beggars can’t be choosers I guess. Still, I’m proud of it! Also dang this is hard how do people do this all the time? (I actually did a few more but idk if I’ll post them)
