The Original™.
I had to draw Deirdre! She’s actually already wearing the kind of clothing that I draw so I just made it a little bit More.

Last but not least, have this small Ishtar that I doodled while bored at work. Had a lot of fun with sharpie today lol
The story might not admit that they are foils, but I remain adamant. Also I just wanted to draw my take on these two beautiful ladies!

Tinny!
Her hair always made me think of medieval plaits so I made it so. I drew Lissa with braided plaits before so for Tinny I used twists instead.
To be honest I didn’t even really use her in game because I couldn’t level her up fast enough to keep up with the rest of my army but I love her anyway.

Patterns! I love them! I might color this later but who knows.
Although I’ve only drawn him looking disinterested, don’t be fooled. Kyraen is a very prideful young man who is quick to anger and slow to forgive.
Even though he’s a shaman, he struggles with any spells that aren’t purely offensive in nature. Whenever his people are involved in a battle or a war, he’s sure to find his way to the front lines…which always went pretty well until Risaul managed to capture him as a war prize.
Risaul and Yvian both like to tease him, so Kyraen spends a lot of time angry and flustered and trying not to betray how angry and/or flustered he is. They try not to piss him off too much because he’s the best strategist of the lot and he knows enough about every Northern tribe that he makes a good diplomat (assuming he can keep his temper in check).
I spent a lot of time today looking at my old art. I love most of it, so I decided to do this! Here is my absolutely favorite piece from each year I’ve been drawing.
2004:

Most of my art from this year got thrown away but I have this small zebra named Indonesia. I still think this is cute. I love the tiny little hooves!
2005:

This was my fursona for all of the time that I used one (so I guess technically she still is.) Her design has changed a bit since then lol.
2006:

Towards the ends of 2006 is when I discovered markers. My skill has improved a lot since this, but I still really like these wings!
2007:

This was a really hard year, I had a lot of good pieces! But in the end I picked this bird lady, Teeha, because I like the way I did her eyes, and the way the feathers came out.
2008:

So hard again! But there’s a lot of elements of this pic of Anthem and Ithea that I still like. The details on the hair, the shading on the jewels. The sheer amount of work that went into those book shelves…
2009:

There’s no comparison this year. This picture, the origin for Ro & Cranberries, is simply without compare! It was also the origin of my gray scale + color pictures I started doing which I still think are awesome.
2010:

Ro and Cranberries take the cake again. I literally used this as my computer background for years that’s how much I like this piece.
2011:

I have things that I just really enjoy drawing, like critters and feathers, and weird dresses. I’m not super attached to this piece but I think it looks pretty cool.
2012:

I didn’t have a lot to choose from this year, but this piece holds up well I think. And it was a lot of fun to work on too!
2013:

God. I love this piece, and I love this character, and that’s all there is to say about it! I’ve attempted to redraw this subject but I still think the original is best!
2014:

Gray scale and red again (I just love it), fantastic wavy hair, cute fashion, and cute lesbians. No wonder I like this one!
2015:

I drew so much this year and so many of those pieces were so good but this! It had to be this one. I still just…I love this design. I love the composition. I love the colors. Just beautiful.
2016:

This is about when my costume design (which I became interested in around the end of 2014) really kicked into gear. I still love the way these three girls look, and their clothing too!
2017:

This one was hard again, it came down between two. But I love Christmas and carousel horses so here we are!
2018:

And my favorite piece so far this year is this picture of Lilina! I like the clothing design again, of course. The coloring turned out nicely. And I like her face too!
…
Well that was a trip! We’ll have to see where I go from here.

Color test for princess Keril.
Can I interest you in some tiny character design exercises? Bunch of idiot children from a story I’ve been playing around with.
From the south, Princess Keril and her personal mage, Sasia.
From the north, Lord General Yvian (also known as The Dragon of the North), Kyraen, shaman of the high peaks, Risaul, warrior-prince from the upper plateau.
And they all get thrown together! Technically they all have dark hair and skin except for Yvian but it’s hard to do with pencil. I only shaded Sasia’s hair to distinguish between her hair and veil. Five characters with four different cultures represented…it’ll be a lot of fun!

redesigning old characters for stress relief. a couple of idiots from a novel that didn’t work…they’re political rivals turned lovers b/c literally what else would I do.
I wanted to do a redraw challenge! This is my third attempt at this picture. I thought I had drawn it last a few years ago, but it turns out that it was back in 2010! The original was from 2006.
A lot has changed about Silverwood: the world-building, characters names and designs, their personalities, and their relationships. I wanted to try and show who they are now.
Fun fact, the original was one of the very first pictures I drew of Anthem and Ithea! Back when her name was still Hawkswind lol.
Also it’s been 12 years and I still don’t know how to draw plants.
morning reblog, cause I’m proud if it
