Favorite Lord’s Pairing: LYN AND HECTOR
These two are the greatest and I accept no arguments also why didn’t the newer games continue with the “Lord Pairing Cute Photo” thing at the end of the game because it’s amazing
You can have part of a level because I didn’t beat it yet but, as often happens, this one starts with another round of “Lyn and Hector have flawless ideas”

Favorite Axe-User: HECTOR
Again, to be completely honest, I very rarely like the axe-users. They’re too unpredictable and not stable enough for my taste. By the time an axe-user is hitting reliably my other units are already decimating entire armies by themselves HOWEVER
Hector is a notable exception to this plus I love his personality (which I’ve talked about over and over again so I don’t really need to repeat it here but I WILL) how he seems very brash and rude but he’s actually very caring and intuitive, he doesn’t put on airs or separate himself from others and he just cares so much about his friends you guys!

After that Eliwood confronts Lyn and Hector again about their argument earlier and both of them trip over themselves trying to take the blame for it, as you would expect. All is forgiven and we’re going to move on!
OKAY this is a big one because it’s two chapters, and includes the Lucius/Raven C-Support AND the saddest scene in the whole game (to me)

The smile finally goes away…he can’t keep trying to hide. And Hector doesn’t even hesitate.

Hector feels this pain so much like most lords wouldn’t really associate with people like Matthew and Leila – they have a spymaster for this but he knew them and worked with them and cared about them so much (I know he’s rude and brash but I think this is why other lords insult Hector so much. He’s not like them, he doesn’t put on airs or keep himself apart from his employees and his people)
Lyn feels upset too because she comes from a culture where honor is very important. She may have only known Leila for a few minutes but she still feels her death, and Matthew’s pain as someone who has suffered losing people they care about in a very dishonorable way
I feel like Eliwood doesn’t really understand the way they feel both because he’s never really lost anyone, and also because he is a very proper noble. He’s not as friendly and common as Hector, and he wasn’t raised as a commoner like Lyndis so I don’t think he understands why they’re upset other than just at the concept of what happened.
And then this asshole shows up
Just pointing back to where Lyn grew up like…this guy is an assassin, he’s one of the bad guys, and he still has as strict sense of honor. I don’t think he would have agreed to display Leila’s body like they did
And again another moment that could have been sexist, and wasn’t. This isn’t about her being a woman and he’s not going to let her leave. This is about a shared culture, and he’s going to let her die fighting
