Jaffar is a man of many words but also, at least Matthew didn’t actually even do anything. He just knew it would be a good weapon against Jaffar…but yeah I need to actually play to get that support sometime because damn

blazing sword was super good about giving you a few end-level bosses that i -really- did not want to kill because they had conflicted reasons for being there :’)

Blazing Sword was just super good we can all admit it but yeah their characters are top tier, definitely on par with Tellius on the scale of “complex, well-written, and interesting”

Matt is one of my faves but I always did Jaffar-Nino so I just learned about them this year, wow, awful.

yeah the ‘everyone is too young in anime’ tropes never feel weird when you’re younger than the protags, lol

i could, of course, get behind Nino finding herself an Actually Good older sibling to look out for her. though idk some people give her that dynamic with Linus and Lloyd, that’s… obviously complicated by their criminal obligations

I actually do like her relationship with them but, of course, they both get murdered…

also fun story but when I finally realized Hector was 17 I nearly had a heart attack. They don’t say it in the game outright, so I made it to 22 still assuming he was older than I was for some reason…please save these dumb children…

ANYWAY regardless her ‘canon’ ending is having twins who show up in the sequel, her/their past catching up to them and making her have to leave the kids at an orphanage for their own safety, and It Sucks. guess im just a big ole Angst Enabler. like, just imagine a convo between Matt and Jaffar :’) ah

I haven’t played 6 yet anyway so that whole thing is like ~eh~

They would have to, I think Jaffar has a lot of shit going on he needs to deal with 

but in my mind her true and correct ending is now getting adopted by Echoes Sonya and they’re like cute sisters and practice magic together. A+
