Right I had trouble even getting it down to ‘sleep with but regret’ or whatever ahaha there were TOO MANY SUBCATEGORIES so this made more sense to me

what matters are the categories in your heart XD this is just what worked for me

comradewodka replied to your post “@comradewodka I can’t believe you want me to get into Frozen which I…”

(Lmao hak)
Yeah idk I just suddenly remembered hans and wanted to ask you about it for some reason, haha!
Tbh I have no strong feelings about it other than ‘if only someone loved you’ being Kinda Fucky and fun to reuse for other romantic villains
And yes. The trolls are complete garbage. I’d like frozen a lot more if they at least didn’t have their dumb bad song lol

(Oh Hak….what are we ever going to do with him?)

IF ONLY SOMEONE LOVED YOU IS FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC

It’s so cheesy and melodramatic and yet!! I love!!

Well…at least we agree on all the important things ahahaha

Right right. Like I personally adore (good) twists because otherwise I’m just too genre-savvy and usually figure it out in advance. Which isn’t always a bad thing, like you said. But getting to go OH MY GOD THAT MAKES SENSE IN RETROSPECT BUT YOU GOT ME SO GOOD is a really fun rare experience. I got a lot of respect for writing thats able to think ahead to what I might anticipate, then tries to play off those conventions and expectations, even if it doesn’t always work.

Personally I prefer being able to see stuff coming because it means the story is logical and well-crafted!

Like a good twist is a really good twist and I appreciate them when I find them but a lot of times they feel really forced and unnecessary to me.

With books in particular I go a lot off of how it ‘feels’ (like a certain popular magical school series I don’t like because it always feels like it’s talking down to the readers, a lot of adult fantasy books feel ashamed of their own genre, that kind of thing).

As long as the writing feels genuine rather than like the author is engaged in a game of wits with me, as the reader, I’ll probably like it. But I don’t like it when authors try to outdo me! Stopping jerking off to your own Genius and just write something actually enjoyable. lol.
