I separate my shelves based on types of books so fairy tales, classics, comics, anthologies, dog training books, text books and unread books all have their own little sections.

My formative years are measured in wolf books in general (and Jack London in particular)

White Fang was the first book I can consciously remember wanting to read (even though I didn’t read it until I was in high school)

Call of the Wild made me want to be a writer.

The Sight was what first made me realize what a clever author can do with writing – especially in regards to a twist ending.

There are others as well. Wolf books and dog books have always managed to speak to me despite the fact that I was never really a dog or wolf person/fan.
