For the ask meme thing: Swartt + best friend XD (“Geez, I wonder who this anon could be”, you’ll say)

Swartt has never had a friend, ever, in his entire life.

Nah. OKAY. I think he did used to have a friend! When he was the vermin equivalent of a dibbun he was already well on his way to being Bad. Stealing stuff, mostly. Pranks. The same sort of shit Veil got up to, but unlike Veil, there were others around who thought he was Cool™

It would have to either be another ferret or maybe a weasel, I don’t see him going out of his way to befriend a rat or a fox.

When he inevitably left home and formed his first band, this friend would have been his second-in-command. As Swartt’s power grew so did his temper and his ego and he began to see them less as his mateys and more as his pawns.

Probably his friend died in Swartt’s maneuvering for power as part of Bowfleg’s horde.

It was a planned death. A necessary loss. Still, every once in a while he finds himself missing that beast – though he has convinced himself it’s only missing a useful tool.

:^) it’s not gatekeeping. It’s calling out whats typically considered old fe. But whatever you say “my dude”

What I consider the shift in Old/New is the style changes between Tellius and Awakening.

Shadow Dragon and New Mystery of the Emblem also count as old games being remakes but they’re not really that good so I don’t talk about them much

Plus it’s hard to find a way to play the Old Old games if you don’t know Japanese which I do not. Point me in the way of an English ROM of the old ones and I’ll happily play them. Italian works too. (I looked but they don’t seem to have ROMs of anything pre-Blazing Sword unfortunately).

Also yeah, you’re trying to devalue my opinions and experience by saying “well you didn’t do this, you didn’t do that, so it doesn’t count” which is gate keeping.

One would hope to have better company in a fandom but I guess even rude people can have good taste in media sometimes.

>prefers older games >doesn’t list best or worst characters from binding blade or older. plz step up your game

I have Binding Blade as an emulator but currently I’m playing through Hector’s Story in Italian and that’s my emulator time atm so I haven’t gotten to it

I have played about half of Thracia before the site I was on got taken down and half of New Mystery of the Emblem as well but I didn’t want to include anything I hadn’t finished (and also it’s been a long time) also just…who cares?

Gate keeping is pretty shit behavior, my dude.

Why you gotta hate the FE Tiddy Gals(tm)?

I would say “ah, their designs” but that’s a lie because I super dig Petrine and she’s TITS OUT. The truth is that I am SO NOT into that stalker-type personality. They annoy me, the fact that we’re supposed to find these characters appealing also annoys me. Tharja was bad enough but Camilla is our adopted sibling and she needs to CHILL and REEVALUATE HER LIFE sorry

52 + 53?

52: Who do you write for?

All the young, frustrated girls who maybe don’t know who they are or who they like or what they want to do but know that it isn’t that, ‘that’ being what is usually seen in books about girls. For all the young girls questioning their sexuality, especially the asexual ones. For the young girl that I used to be (and still am sometimes).
And also out of the hope that maybe, just maybe, my books will have a positive emotional impact on someone, and that it can be the thing they need at the time they need it. (was that sappy enough, or what?)

53: First line of my WIP.

The first sentence of my current WIP is pretty short so here’s the first few (I think it’s too abrupt an opening but it works for now).

“Tajcie
is a city full of temples. Every temple has a god, every god has a feast, a
festival, or a celebration. And yet, in the city the gods love best, no event
is anticipated more eagerly than the King’s Horse Fair.

Misfortunate?

Unluckiest Moment In Game?

Once, and I don’t remember what game this was in but it was a “kill all enemies” level, I had killed everyone, everyone except the boss and this one measly little archer. I was not worried about this. It’s just an archer, I say as I move my mage up to finish the boss. No harm ever came from A SINGLE ARCHER

Of course, the dude criticals, kills my mage, and I had to start the whole level over again.

The other one I can think of off the top of my head was in Blazing Sword in that temple level with the vanishing pathways. Everyone was on one square and I didn’t realize there was a monk with like, a berserk staff. Which hit Jaffar. Who proceeded to WRECK MY SHIT and kill EVERY SINGLE UNIT except for Matthew who kept dodging somehow?
Also Eliwood obviously, because otherwise the game would have ended. (Actually I don’t think he was on the same platform).
I had to keep watching because it was so ridiculous as Jaffar kept getting hit with Berserk and kept chasing poor Matthew around until he finally ran out of vulneraries and died. :’<

(Pro tip: Louise will dodge that spell pretty much every time so let the monks cast it on her instead: a lesson learned the hardest way)
