breaking work rules just to say: I can’t believe the apparent hatred that people who make cross-stitch stuff have against 18ct

why don’t they make 18ct waste canvas

how come when I want a pretty color of fabric or w/e I have to go looking on the depths of the web to find anything

18 COUNT IS A PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE SIZE OF STITCH – BETTER THAN 14 COUNT FOR MOST THINGS – AND YOU SHOULD CATER TO THAT YOU COWARDS

Yes! I literally only stitch on 18 or 20 count Aida. Fuck those fabric snobs!

Dude, why would there be hate against 18ct!?

It’s awesome and my definite go-to for the majority of my projects. I’ll do 14 or 16 if need be/it’s something small that would look better on a large count, but that 18 will be first choice. I’ve yet to try 20, but want to at some point.

Sorry I didn’t mean that as in “people who cross stitch hate 18ct” but as “people who make cross stitch supplies hate 18ct” because they don’t make it in as much variety as 14ct and I am continuously angry about it lol

I’m legitimately so tired of the Disney remakes. Like I can’t even muster up enough energy to be mad about it, I just truly do not care. There hasn’t been one remake I felt compelled to see in theaters, and only a few that I bothered to watch on Netflix. The result is always either no better or actively worse than the original, and if you like watching them that’s fine, but I’m sick to death of the argument that we need these endless remakes so that “a new generation can enjoy the stories”. What planet are you one where you can’t watch a movie more than once? The stories are readily available. I watched plenty of movies as a kid that came out before I was born, there’s literally nothing stopping you.

Also, it used to be when they made a remake they at least had the decency to remake 40+ year old films; now they’re remaking things that came out just a few decades ago and adding practically nothing.

I guess I really don’t see what the appeal is or why they make so much money. I mean I get nostalgia but if I feel nostalgic for an old movie I’ll just… watch that movie.

Rewatched “Sprit: Stallion of the Cimarron” for the hundredth time and, like, why don’t people talk about this movie more??? Like it came out only a year after Shrek and that movie has a shit ton of sequels and yet no one ever talks about Spirit??? Like,

(1) It doesn’t glorify or romanticize colonialism. It is some real-ass shit.

image

(2) It has amazing art.

image

(3) The main human character is Native American.

image

(4) It doesn’t stereotype or generalize or dehumanize Native Americans.

image

(5) It’s about horses!!!!

If you haven’t seen or even heard of this movie, drop everything right the fuck now and go watch. NOW. GO. GO. GO. It’s just an all-around good movie that will give you so many feels.

Not forgetting the top amazing songs all brought to live by the amaing BRYAN ADAMS.
The OSTs are gorgeous. And the end of the story always get me teary.

Some AMAZING animation by James Baxter in this movie. Seriously he is THE MAN

Dreamworks made a great movie without the title character ever speaking a word👏🏼
