I just thought this set of tweets was really important.

I’ve never thought of Cinderella in this sense but YES. I was verbally abused in high school and even now I need to work every day (sometimes every hour) to not let it control my actions or define who I am. These kinds of reminders are so, so important for storytellers and artists, and I’m definitely going to be taking a closer look at the old fairy tales soon. #representation matters

I love this thread. And I was talking about this earlier, in regards to the Wreck-It Ralph (?) trailer where she is shown breaking her shoe to use it as a weapon.

I didn’t want the trailer but I saw a lot of people delighting over it. It made me sad since that’s not what makes Cinderella strong, and not what makes her important. In fact, doing that actually shows that people have no idea what it is Cinderella has to offer. A shame, if you ask me.

I don’t understand why our wireless network here just occasionally fails to recognize its own password.

And by occasionally I mean “I spend at least one day a week fighting our stupid network”
