comradewodka replied to your postI’ve got two costume design requests in queue for…

You don’t need to prioritize this over Tharja or requests from new people, but if you run outta ones to do maybe you could make nowi actually dress appropriately for her ‘age’? Lol. I’d say ‘reimagine jaffar for me bc I love him’ but let he’s a perfect fucking edgelord as-is

I’m actually sketching Tharja out right now and it’s coming along pretty well!

I would love to wreck the shit out of that Nowi design. Hell yeah. I’ll put her on the list.

I probably could come up with a Jaffar design but yeah, it’s pretty suitable for him. If I ever drew him in Lano Canon™ I would bring his outfit more in-line with my medieval sensibilities but you know. W/e.

I’ve got two costume design requests in queue for today but I actually brought pens to work with me today so I can move a bit faster.

I’m still taking Fire Emblem redesign requests if anyone wants to pitch one in!

Second one for @hakbot, it’s Lissa!

I really dislike the cleric designs in Awakening so this was fun.

It isn’t Lissa without pigtails, but that hairstyle doesn’t suit my Aesthetic™ so I gave her twin braids instead, wrapped up with a little bit of ribbon to make it cute. And I turned that…whatever that was on her head, into a proper veil.

Lissa is still young and energetic so I gave her a slightly shorter under-dress, and an over-dress that is still reminiscent of her apron.

I brought in some green accents, because I love it, and gave her dress a pattern to break up all that yellow (apologies for this one, I don’t use a lot of yellow generally so I don’t really have the right colors for her).

Overall I like the design but I think I could have drawn it a little bit better. Oh well!

Cherche redesign for @hakbot!

Awakening seems more “modern” to me than some of the other games but I’m here for that pseudo-medieval aesthetic so that’s what I deliver.

As for the changes:

First of all I lengthened her tunic (though not too much) and since Virion always seemed kind of fantasy!French to me I based it on medieval French tunics, mostly with the sleeves.

I also gave her proper hosen, and used that as an excuse to add some splashes of pink to her design.

I changed the armor too. It seems to me that the easiest place to hit a flying unit is their mount, and the second easiest must be their legs. So I made her legs and hips much more heavily armored! I really love her dragon wing neckpiece but it seemed very impractical so I changed that into a more typical gorget. I gave her some chainmail under her tunic, and also generally made the armor more “solid” looking.

Also I can only assume that the character designers have never ridden in a convertible with long, loose hair. I gave her a braid, which would be WAY easier to maintain and does not require spending three hours removing knots from it each night.

What do you guys think? And I’m still taking requests to add to my list if this piques anyone’s interest!
